How can you tell you are finally back in Texas? Look for the deer blinds on sale at Walmart! When we arrived in the Austin area for the 90Th birthday party of Larry's Uncle Glen, I went looking for snacks at Walmart and driving in front of the store I spied this contraption. I thought how cool! What could I do with something like that? What about flowering vines growing up and changing the fabric? Or, put it in the atrium 
with huge colorful flags flying around for shade. But that fabric has to go. How would I get it home? Well, maybe it comes in a kit to put on the car roof....Hmm. It wasn't until I came out of the store and drove past again and realized it was a male toy, a deer blind for pete's sake. Embarrassed, I looked around to see who was laughing at me. Thank goodness all those thoughts were in my head. I was saved!

Once again the Texas rest stops were a highlight of the long drive. Larry took care of the birthday party pictures and he has posted them on his facebook page.
