A HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR ALL

We had a quiet New Years Eve playing games and we even managed to stay up until midnight.

Our Christmas photo is ready for posting and as you can see, even the pups were willing to pose. On the top left is Jennifer's stepmother, Judy and next to her is Larry's cousin, Mary Ellen, HP is the tallest, son-in-law Mark is on his right, Ellen is kneeling, center is my mother, Eunice and aside of her is Jennifer, HP"s wife. The children are Luke 9, the tallest, Brayden, 5, and Sophie on her new bike will be 3 January 2010. Her mother can't wait for the terrible twos to be over. As for the Yorkies...Jen is holding the parents Sara and Chewy. All the others are their children.

We had a trip back to the Riparian Preserve last week and found a few birds of interest to photograph. At this time of the year their interesting houses are more visible.

This picture I call "and another thing..."

The yellow headed sweetie was a complete surprise to me until I saw him on the computer screen. When I locate him in the reference book I'll update his name.

Hummingbirds were darting here and there. I would catch a flash of red or green and I find them difficult to photograph because they are so fast. Here are a few shots. I know the one you can see both colors, red on the throat and green on his back is an Anna hummer.

This nest is beautifully made and of course there is a dragonfly photo.
