What happened in January?

We traveled to Texas for the memorial service of Larry's uncle, Dr. Paul Bauer. This wonderful man will be missed by everyone and we were all blessed to be in his presence over the years.

Miss Sophie girl celebrated her 4Th birthday on the 21st.

More snow in the high country and Larry and I drove north to get a better view of Four Peaks.
Larry can always traipse around in the desert to get a better picture.

Our kindergartner Brayden lost some front teeth.

Picnic at the Riparian Water Ranch

The preserve has lots of space for the Grand Children to run and explore. Larry took great photos of them expending all their energy! He found lovebirds on a walk with Brayden and accidentally dropped crumbs from his sandwich during lunch.

I love all the fall colors, seeds and water fowl.

I'm not so sure of the identity of the brown beauty. I need an expert!

Fun in December

The Christmas tree was outdoors again this year. The prep time can't be beat. Five minutes and done.

When there is snow in the high country we need a picture. Eunice and I drove north for a better look.

Larry captured a beautiful December sunset.

Christmas of 2010

We joined Howard, Jennifer and the grand children for Christmas morning once again. Larry wore my new Christmas hat for the occasion.
It was a brunch affair and we enjoyed Jen's cinnamon rolls. They are always the star attraction. For Christmas dinner the meal was again postponed for the 26Th day of December after all of us rested. These festivities took place at our house and Eunice's neighbor Gay joined us.

It looks like Sophie is pleased with her stash.

Howard hammed it up for us while Mark and Ellen admire the Christmas tree project the kids contributed to their table decor.

All the Yorkie family members attending try to sit with Ellen at the same time while I goof around with the tree ornaments.

Brayden and Luke have a lot to smile about too.

Larry's cousin Mary Ellen from California and Jennifer's step mother Judy pose for their picture.

Howard and Sophie stood still for Larry while Ellen and Eunice try to have some quiet time.

Remembering Turkey Day

Howard and Jennifer invited family to their home for Thanksgiving. The food was scrumptious and there was plenty of it as you can see. Jen's cousin Taunya came from Utah with her husband Bo and family dog. Her cousin Monica drove over from west Phoenix area. Mark and Ellen, Eunice, Larry and I responded to their gracious invitation. Thank you Jen and Howard for your hospitality and wonderful food. We had much to be thankful for on this special holiday.
